The Barristers is the Young Attorney's Division of Riverside County Bar Association (RCBA). Attorneys of all ages are always welcome at Barristers meetings.

If you are within your first 7 years of practice OR under 37 years of age, then congratulations, you are a Barrister. The Riverside County Barristers Association is a group of young and new attorneys in Riverside County and surrounding areas. Our Bylaws define Barristers membership as any attorney that is under 37 years of age or within their first 7 years of practice. Law students and community members are also encouraged to attend! Our Bylaws require that Barristers members also be members of the Riverside County Bar Association. We welcome those who are not-members of the RCBA to attend Barristers meetings, but membership in Barristers is required to vote in elections for the Board of Directors and any proposed bylaw amendments. Join Barristers and make a difference in the lives of our members, our legal community, and our county! Members enjoy:

-- Quarterly General Meetings with MCLE credits offered

-- 2-3 Social Events per month
i.e. happy hours, bowling, paint and w**e nights, mini-golf, ceramic painting, go-karting, rock climbing, hikes, game night, movie nights, annual dodge ball tournament

-- Partnership with RCBA and other Bar Association Young Adult Divisions in putting on meetings, mixers, and social events throughout the county

-- Community Outreaches
i.e. serve food in homeless shelters, pack food at local food banks, clothing drive, RCBA Elves Program

-- Sections within Barristers, giving YOU the opportunity to have your voice be heard, put your ideas in motion, and
make a difference in our community

⚖️ BARRISTERS BOARD SPOTLIGHT: BRIANA A. HEITING

Meet Briana A. Heiting, a 2026–2027 RCBA Barristers Member at Large!

Briana is an attorney at Rizio Lipinsky Heiting, where she practices personal injury law. A Riverside native, she joined the Barristers Board after graduating from the RCBA New Attorney Academy this past May.

Having grown up in Riverside, Briana is especially grateful for the opportunity to build her career and give back to the community she calls home. She credits the welcoming nature of Riverside’s legal community, along with the friendships and mentorship opportunities Barristers provides, as inspiration for becoming more involved.

As a Board Member, Briana hopes to encourage greater member involvement and help young attorneys feel welcomed, supported, and connected as they build their careers.

Outside the courtroom, you can find Briana painting or playing tennis! 🎾🎨

We’re excited to have Briana serving on this year’s Board and look forward to highlighting more of our incredible Board Members in the months ahead!

A special thank you to attorney and Inland Counties Legal Services (ICLS) representative Paulette Gray for joining us and speaking about the important work ICLS provides to our community, as well as the many ways attorneys can get involved and give back through volunteer legal services.

Calling all new attorneys! 📣

The RCBA New Attorney Academy application deadline has been extended to September 27! If you are within your first five years of practice, or are currently awaiting bar results, we encourage you to consider applying.

The NAA is a great opportunity to develop practical legal skills, learn directly from experienced attorneys and judges, gain behind-the-scenes access to our local courts, and build relationships within the Riverside County legal community.
