Our unit took part in Cub Skill Weekend at Camp Lavigne last weekend. Scouts cycled through 12 unique stations. We had the pleasure of multiple first responder departments on site to show scouts pracTical life saving skills as well as the tools and equipment that are used in emergencies.

Thank you to the multiple Agencies that gave up their Saturday to show and educate are young scouts.

After the stations, Pack 33 had the honor to cross 4 AOLs to Troop 33 at the crossover ceremony.

Thank you to all that attended!

Warmer weather activities such as bike riding are here.

Our scouts took part in Montour County's Kid's Bike Ride on Mill Street. This and other events our being done to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of our country.

Immediately after, we had the pleasure of hosting Sheriff Mckenna of the Montour County Sheriff's Office to teach our young scouts about bike safety and maintenance.

Scouts had an opportunity to visit the Geisinger EMS Explorer Post to learn some vital lifesaving techniques used by medical first responders.

At many stations, the scouts received hands on demonstrations of the equipment and tools while also learning what to do in certain lifesaving scenarios.

Scouts visited Valley Township Fire Department Tuesday night and were educated on the many different tools a firefighter may need when on an emergency call.

Afterwards, the boys and girls had a unique opportunity to watch a live demonstration of vehicle entrapments and how these brave first responders use those many tools to safely extract victims from the vehicles.

Thank you to all of our first responders for your tireless efforts to train and keep our community safe and for letting us be a part of it.

A big thanks to Lt Don and the rest of the Valley Township Fire Department for setting this up and allowing us in.

The beginning of March, the scouts hiked the trails of Montour Preserve to get a jump on Spring and clean out the Bluebird boxes.

Once completed, they were given a tour by one of our scout parents, who is also a member of MARC, of the maple sugaring area and were invited to help empty the buckets.
