Has a new faction joined the fight, or has it been there all along? 

 The Red Veil

The Red Veil began as a secret Cold War black-operations program created by elements within Soviet military intelligence. Staffed by elite GRU operatives and deniable assets, its mission was to conduct operations too dangerous or politically sensitive for the Russian state to officially acknowledge.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the organization survived in secret, preserving hidden networks, funding channels, and intelligence archives across Europe and the Middle East.

Years later, the Russian government quietly reactivated the group as a covert instrument of state power. But the Red Veil quickly evolved beyond government control. Its leadership came to believe that nations and governments were temporary, while true power belonged to those willing to operate unseen.

Now autonomous and feared even within Russian intelligence circles, the Red Veil pursues its own agenda through covert warfare, political manipulation, assassinations, and proxy conflicts around the world.

Its guiding belief is simple:
