Face it, we all want to keep a garden journal. We really want to, but most of the time, we forget. When we remember to update our journal, we lose the tag, forget the date, or forget where we bought the plant. How often do you find the plant tags in the washing machine?

Capture pics of your plant tags or seed packets before planting. This way, you'll have a record of:
When: Snap the date for a planting timeline.
What: The photo keeps track of the variety you planted.
Where: Take a pic of the plant in its spot for future reference
From: Which nursery of seed company.

Ensure the tag is visible and not obstructed by any leaves or soil. You want a clear shot of the information.
Focus and Zoom: Ensure your camera is focused on the tag and use the zoom function to capture the details clearly.

Snap the Shot: Take the picture! Make sure it's clear and easy to read.
Save and Organize: Save the photo in a folder or album dedicated to your plants., or sub-albums by location in your garden. You can also add any notes or observations about the plant now.
Repeat: Whenever you plant something new, repeat this process to keep your plant database up-to-date.
By snapping a quick pic of the plant tag, you'll have a handy record of when and what you planted, making it easier to track their growth and care needs.
Depending on where you keep your photos, you can edit the names of the photographs to what you like, the date will be there, and you can add the location in the garden.
