The Lancer Athletics Association (LAA), provides financial support for over 400 CBU Student Athletes

The Lancer Athletics Association (LAA), comprised of alumni, family and friends of California Baptist University Athletics, was established in 2009 to create financial support for 20 varsity programs and more than 400 student-athletes.

The Lancer Golf Classic did not disappoint.

What started as a day of friendly competition on the course turned into something so much greater, a reminder that the fellowship we built together was the most incredible byproduct of it all.
The two courses at Tukwet Canyon were loaded with Lancer supporters, all showing up for our student athletes and for each other. Every dollar raised went toward supporting our Lancer athletes, and every conversation, laugh, and shared moment reminded us why we show up.

Grateful for this community and the faith that binds us.
Thank you to every one of you that helped make this years LGC such a huge success!

The biggest stages. Storied programs. Loud arenas.

The CBU family showed up and showed off its energy, its tight community and our BIG love for our Lancers!

Our athletes competed with heart, grit and honor.
Our student section was loud and made announcers take notice.
Our alumni, families and supporters spent their weekend from San Diego to Westwood showing up to support these teams!

Every year the ⛳️ Lancer Golf Classic brings our family together for something bigger than a round of golf.

The LGC isn’t just about birdies and long drives. It’s about partnership. It’s about shared vision. It’s about men and women who believe in what we’re building through California Baptist University Athletics.

Fun.
Fellowship.
Golf.

Yes, we compete. Yes, we laugh. Yes, we enjoy a beautiful day on the course.

But what makes this event special is the connection. The conversations between tee boxes. The relationships strengthened over 18 holes. The reminder that Lancer Athletics is not just teams and trophies … it’s a family.

The LGC is one of our most valuable relational touchpoints of the year. A chance to say thank you. A chance to dream forward. A chance to rally together in support of the student-athletes who represent us so well.

But goals were never meant to define your worth.

Grit says keep going.
Faith says remember who you already are.
We chase goals to become enough.
Christ reminds us we already are.

So yes… set the goal. Do the work.
Push through the resistance.
But don’t confuse achievement with identity.

You don’t strive for approval.
You work from acceptance.

Goals are something you pursue.
Your value is something you receive from our creator.

Rest in this truth… you’re not proving anything.
You’re becoming who God already says you are
