September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed our nation.
25 years later, we pause to remember those lives lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the countless heroes who ran toward danger while others were trying to escape.
We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, first responders, military members, medical professionals, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
For many, 9/11 is not simply a chapter in a history book. We remember where we were, what we were doing, and the disbelief we felt as we watched that morning unfold. We remember the fear, the heartbreak, and the uncertainty but we also remember how, in the days that followed, our country came together.
Today, may we set aside our differences and simply remember.
Remember the lives lived.
Remember the lives lost.
Remember the heroes.
Remember the families who still carry that loss today.
May we never forget September 11, 2001.
