Our annual Blazin’ Lanes Bowling Fundraiser is only 2 weeks away. Will we see you there?

Your support at this fundraiser will help us provide critical care and support for Riverside firefighters and their families. Our foundation supports the health, safety, and training needs of our firefighters while also providing a vital safety net for our retired and fallen firefighters and their families.

Join friends, family and your local firefighters and kick off the start of 2026 with a fun night of bowling at our annual Blazin’ Lanes Bowling Fundraiser in support of the Riverside City Firefighters Foundation on Thursday, February 5, 2025, at Bowlero Riverside!

This exciting evening is a great way to have fun while supporting the Riverside City Firefighters Foundation and our ongoing mission to support our members, our community and other important programs.

No matter which way you want to support, whether its as our top level “King Pin Sponsorship” (which comes with a custom-made leather helmet and three bowling lanes!) or just come for the food, drinks and camaraderie, we are so excited to see you there!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to thank you. Your generosity has allowed the Riverside Firefighters Foundation to stand firmly beside our local heroes and their families in their greatest moments of need and for that, we are deeply grateful.

Today, on our RFD Fallen Day of Remembrance, we honor the nine Level 1 Line-of-Duty Death members who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community.

This year also marks the 20th anniversary of Firefighter Ed Teran’s passing. We pay special tribute to his life, service, and enduring legacy.

As we fly our flags our mourning flags at all of our fire stations, we remember and honor all who gave their all — their courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Come join us for the long-awaited Grand Opening of Tim Strack Park this Friday, November 7th!

This new park — featuring a fire department–themed playground — honors Captain Tim Strack’s incredible legacy of service, leadership, and dedication to the Riverside community. It will serve as a lasting reminder of his commitment to public safety and inspire future generations of firefighters and public servants.

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating this special moment for our department, our city, and Tim’s family. The opening of this park is a milestone made possible through community partnership — and with your continued support, the Riverside Firefighters Foundation can carry forward projects like this that give back to our community and honor those who serve it.

Tomorrow, Thursday October 30th — friends, family and the community he was so proud to serve will gather to honor and celebrate the life of Chief Scott Wilson.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 9:00am to allow time for parking and seating. The procession will begin at 9:30am, and is detailed above.

🚨 FUNDRAISER FOR FIRE ENGINEER BART KENNEDY 🚨

After 30 years of dedicated service to the City of Riverside, Fire Engineer Bart Kennedy was seriously injured while working a vegetation fire off the freeway. Bart was struck by a vehicle and pinned against the fire engine, suffering multiple pelvic fractures. He has a long road to recovery ahead.

Let’s rally around Bart and his family during this difficult time. Donations will help cover unexpected travel, medical, and family expenses.

🔥 Riverside City Firefighters Climb for a Cure! 🔥

For the past nine years, Riverside City Firefighters have taken on the Firefighter Stair Climb to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)—and in 2025, we’re doing it again!

On March 9, 2025, 20 Riverside firefighters will climb to the top of the Columbia Tower in Seattle, WA, pushing their limits in honor of our brother, Matt Powell, who is courageously battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

As wildfires continue to devastate Los Angeles and Southern California, the dedicated firefighters of the City of Riverside Fire Department are also on the frontlines, while simultaneously continuing efforts to ensure our Riverside community remains well-protected at home.

Many of you have asked how you can help during this critical time.

We encourage you to support the California Fire Foundation , which plays a critical role in supporting firefighters and the communities they serve across the State.

The California Fire Foundation provides direct assistance to disaster survivors through the SAVE Card Program, offering immediate financial relief to families displaced by fires. The Foundation also provides critical support for surviving families of fallen firefighters, firefighters, and supports wildfire and disaster relief efforts statewide.
