Swim Across America - Chicago

Swim Across America - Chicago SAA - Chicago is an open water swimming event that takes off from Ohio Street Beach and raises money Beach during the summer.

SAA is a national organization using swimming-related events to raise money and awareness for cancer research, treatment, and prevention. In Chicago, SAA has held open water swims for 23 years at Ohio St. Swim Across Lake Michigan, another successful event, is held every two years. The money raised in the Chicago swims goes directly to cancer research at Rush University Medical Center, and since 2012, SAA - Chicago has given Rush more than $1 million.

We're proud to share the Swim Across America - Chicago 2025 Impact Report! The community raised over $220K for their local beneficiary, RUSH Cancer Center, supporting research efforts on breast cancer.
