S4E Lupus Awareness I'm a daughter of a mother with Lupus. We have had family members who has lost their fight with Lupus in the past. So our family has decide to Take Action.

Hello there my name is Shaletha and my mom, Sherme, has a disease called Lupus.While there is no cure for lupus, early diagnosis and treatment can help in managing the symptoms and lessening the chance of permanent damage to organs or tissues. Because lupus is different for every person, treatments and medications are prescribed based on individual needs. So whats my moms story? August 2014 my mom

was diagnosed with Lupus SLE. Every morning my mom wakes up almost paralyzed in pain, its so hard for her to do things that we take for granted like turning a doorknob, standing up, and putting on her clothes. We get extremely sad to see my mother in so much pain, she can't do the things she used to like daily grooming on her own, dance, or drive. PLEASE help my mom and I raise Awareness for Lupus. My mom has two children(my brother Eugene and I), eight grandchildren between the both of us and We NEED Our Mom/Grandma.
