This year, we will be celebrating 25 years of providing arts outreach to our community! Since its inception at UC Riverside in 1996, the Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts continues to follow its mission and goals of providing opportunities to experience the arts and integrating the arts within the broader community. Each year, the Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts provides fellowships to exception

al UC Riverside graduate and undergraduate students who will teach, perform, and carry out arts-related presentations, performances, and workshops at schools, community centers, and residential facilities for elderly care in underserved communities of Riverside county for free. Our audiences receive impactful and inspiring visits from enthusiastic University students who introduce participants to visual arts, art history, music, dance, and writing experiences that they otherwise would not have typically received. The Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts also facilitates visits to the UCR campus for events that give school children the opportunity to 'feel at home' on campus and be inspired to consider pursuing a college education and a lifetime in the arts. All events supported by the Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts at UC Riverside are made possible through the generosity of the Max H. UC Riverside remains committed to the Program's target constituents and continues to avail itself of the excellent faculty and student resources in the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Participating departments include Art, Creative Writing, Dance, History of Art, Music, and Theatre, Film and Digital Production, as well as UCR ARTS.

The California Museum of Photography is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year so it’s the perfect time to:
📸 🎨 Explore early photographic processes through hands-on demos and art activities!
⭐️ See an exhibition of photographs by Inland Empire middle and high school students inspired by photographic artist, Christina Fernandez.
🎥 Watch documentary shorts created by high school students from the Off the Block Filmmaking Workshop.
🎸Enjoy live music by Spanish guitarist, Pedro Lopez de la Osa!

Join Gluck Fellows guitarist Jorge Calaf Vicario, experimental electronic musician Alvaro Lopez and performing artists Al Ellison and Evan Duncan; Jessica Maccaro will lead Insect Poetry making activities.

In Search Of - point and shoot film cameras ... we, the Gluck Program at UCR, are doing a black and white film photography project with the high school photography class at Sherman Indian High School starting in the fall and need about 10 film cameras. The students will check out the cameras from us and take them home during winter break.
Most of the kids at Sherman, a residential school for Native American kids, live on reservations around the country and go home for winter break.
Sherman does not have film cameras to lend as they are unable to replace the cameras if they are lost or broken. Our budget also cannot afford purchasing film cameras that also may not return from break. We will buy the film and the batteries for the project.
Do you have a film camera in the back closet that you don't quite want to toss, but would be happy to see it go to a good cause?
