This is what connection looks like. 💛

Two twin brothers. One battling cancer. Both sharing a moment of childhood together.

Right there in the pediatric hematology/oncology clinic, surrounded by the realities of cancer treatment, they’re simply two brothers playing Mario Kart, side by side.

This is why our Video Game Cart Program means so much!

Because these carts do more than provide a distraction from cancer. They bring people together.

They give siblings a chance to just be siblings. Parents a chance to laugh with their children. Families a chance to create happy memories in the middle of some of their hardest days.

Childhood cancer affects the entire family. And while we can’t take away what they’re going through, we can help create moments where joy takes center stage.

Meet our newest Spotlight Kid, Lucas 🤍

On July 23, 2026, Lucas and his family’s world changed forever when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

At just 6 years old, Lucas is facing a battle no child should ever have to fight.

While most kids his age are busy playing, making memories, and simply enjoying childhood, Lucas is learning what it means to be brave in ways no little boy should ever have to.

And if you couldn’t tell by those muscles, Lucas is one STRONG little guy! 💪🧡

But behind those little muscles is a strength that can’t be measured. A courage that no child should ever have to find.

His journey has already been filled with fear, uncertainty, tears, countless prayers, and moments of hope. Through it all, his family is taking things one day at a time, one treatment at a time, and leaning on their faith every step of the way.

Lucas still has a long road ahead, but he isn’t fighting alone. He has a family who loves him fiercely, a community cheering him on, and now an entire Carter’s Foundation family standing behind him. 🧡

Lucas, we see your strength. We see your courage. And we are cheering you on every step of the way!

For many families, this weekend will be filled with pumpkin patches, Halloween festivities, and fall memories. 🎃🍂

But for children battling cancer, this weekend may look very different. Childhood cancer doesn’t take a break for weekends, holidays, or special moments.

A little spray, a little sparkle, and a WHOLE lot of GOLD! ✨🎗️

We had so much fun adding a golden touch to walkers at this year’s Believe Walk in honor of our childhood cancer warriors!

Hosted by Stater Bros. Charities and Inland Women Fighting Cancer, the annual Believe Walk brings our community together to support those affected by ALL types of cancer, raising critical funds for local cancer-fighting organizations and patient support programs.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of such a meaningful event and for the continued generosity of Stater Bros. Markets Charities.

And let’s just say… we have even MORE to be grateful for this year. We can’t wait to share more soon! 👀💛

Did you know the treatments used to save our kids from cancer can also hurt their growing bodies? 💔

Sometimes, to save a child from cancer, we have to put their little body through an unimaginable amount of suffering.

We destroy cancer cells knowing healthy cells will be destroyed too. We have to weaken their immune systems to dangerous levels. We ask their growing bodies to withstand treatments no child should ever have to endure.

Because right now, for many kids, it’s their best chance to survive.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

And kids need more than awareness.

They need more funding for childhood cancer research.

More research = better treatments.
Safer treatments. Treatments designed specifically for kids.

At Carter’s Foundation, we bring joy and comfort during the fight.

Until there are better treatments, we’ll keep making the hard days a little brighter. 🎗️
