Enrollment is now open for Community Yoga Center’s 200 & 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings! Both courses are in-person, 9 month experiences beginning September 2026 in Riverside California. Check out our website for more details.♥️

At Community Yoga Center, we are inspired by in sharing yoga - not selling it. And we mean that in a very real, tangible way. Our Yoga Teacher Training is intentionally priced at a fraction of the cost of most programs - half to one-third of typical tuition. In an industry where trainings can be financially out of reach, we’ve made a clear and values-driven choice to keep yoga teacher training accessible to as many people as possible. This is not a profit-driven program. Tuition simply supports basic operating essentials like facility use, utilities, and insurance costs. Nothing more. There is no markup for brand, no inflated pricing structure - just what’s needed to sustain the offering.♥️

What truly sets this program apart is how it is taught. Every instructor donates their time. They are not selling anything. They teach because of a deep commitment to the practice of yoga and a genuine desire to share it with others. This is teaching as service, not transaction. Because of this, the quality of instruction is extraordinary. Our teachers bring a collective depth of knowledge, decades of experience, and diverse perspectives that exceeds what is found in other programs. These are not instructors trying to get insta-famous - they are mentors and practitioners who are deeply invested in the integrity of the yoga tradition.♥️

Yoga Teacher Training with us really is one thing that can change everything. It can hange how you experience your relationship to yourself, others, and Life itself. ♥️

Yoga has touched my life with profound love. My wish is that this yoga offering is a continuation of that love.♥️ -Kristin

For eight years, a community of yogis has been sharing yoga with loving and generous hearts. What began as a simple gesture of kindness has grown into a living wellness movement, devoted to nurturing the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of human beings through the practice of yoga.♥️

On Friday, March 27th, from 6:00–9:00 pm at Community Yoga Center, we invite you to gather with us in celebration and gratitude. This evening honors the facilitators, practitioners, and community members who have made thousands of free yoga offerings possible-and who continue to offer yoga as something shared, not sold.♥️

More details will come.

We’re thrilled to announce that Community Yoga Center is now a community site for the Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts in partnership with UC Riverside. Through this collaboration, we’re excited to offer free, high-quality arts programming at the yoga center - accessible to all. The Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts connects UC Riverside artists with community spaces to share the arts through performance, education, and creative engagement. We’re honored to be part of this vibrant network.♥️

To kick off this partnership, we’re happy to announce a 5-week dance series, Social Dance and Movement Improvisation: Community, Creativity and Collective Care, facilitated by Cinthia Duran Larrea. This dance series invites participants of all experience levels into a joyful, exploratory movement practice rooted in Latin social dance, group-building improvisation, and collective care. Each session blends guided movement exploration, partner and group activities, and reflective practices that honor dance as a space of memory, connection, and social change. The series begins on Sunday, February 15th from 3pm to 5pm.♥️

Everyone is welcome and no prior dance experience is required. Registration is encouraged. Please email Cinthia if you’d like to participate [email protected].♥️

Cinthia is a dance scholar, Latin social dancer, somatic practitioner, movement artist, and performance activist who approaches dance as a living archive of memory and a shared technology for joy, connection, care and social transformation. She blends dance practice and dance studies knowledge with social therapeutic methodologies (group-building, process-oriented approaches to teaching). Her teaching also integrates biodynamic somatic therapy principles.♥️

We can’t wait to dance, learn, and grow together through this beautiful collaboration with UC Riverside and the Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts.♥️

You are not alone. And you do not have to carry this moment by yourself. We recognize the intensity of this time and how it can affect physical, mental, and emotional health - often in ways that are unseen, yet deeply felt. In the midst of it all, we offer a place to pause, rest, and be.

Every day, we share free yoga classes as an offering of care. These gatherings are a gentle invitations to rest, move, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. A space where you don’t need to explain or perform – only arrive as you are.

Through gentle movement, meditation, and intentional rest, we share practices that support resilience, connection, and healing. We hold the belief that caring for our health is not only a personal act, but a collective one. For us, yoga is rooted in relationship - with ourselves, with each another, and the larger whole – the interconnectedness of everyone and everything.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed or exhausted, activated or tender - or simply in need of space to be - you are welcome here.

We see you. We acknowledge what you are carrying. And we are here for you. We invite you to join us in commUNITY practice. We believe, deeply, that coming together in this way can make a difference. The challenges we face cannot be met in silos. They require communion rooted in deep presence, honesty, and love for one another. ♥️

It’s been a gift to practice with so many of you this month. Thank you for co-creating a space where we can come together in presence, openness, and shared intention. As we’ve all experienced, yoga supports us on many levels. It reduces stress, opens the body and mind, and helps us find calm. These benefits are real and meaningful - and they are only a small part of what yoga is.

Yoga is not just self-care; it is a path of connection. It invites us to bring full awareness into the world, including it’s pain and injustice - to turn toward suffering rather than away from it - to recognize how our individual well-being is inseparable from collective conditions.

When we cultivate steadiness, clarity, and compassion on the mat, we build the capacity to meet the world as it is. We are practicing how to stay present in discomfort, how to respond without collapsing or hardening, and how walk alongside suffering rather than turn away from it.

This matters because the challenges we face cannot be met through individual well-being alone. They require committed action rooted in deep presence, wisdom, and care for one another.

i hope you’ll keep practicing with us - for yourself, and for the collective.♥️
With Love,
Kristin

It feels more important than ever to practice yoga, not only as movement, but as a way of loving. Yoga invites us into radical awareness, into honesty, into remembering our capacity for compassion.

At its heart is ahimsa - non-violence in action, in speech, and in thought. Yoga is not a turning away from the intensity and violence we are living through together. It is a practice of staying present with what is tender and true, so that compassionate action remains possible.

When we gather to practice, we remember that we do not carry this alone. Breath by breath, body by body, we build a quiet solidarity. And it is within this shared space that healing - personal and collective - can begin.

We invite you to practice with us, in community. With dozens of FREE opportunities each week, yoga becomes a way to care for ourselves, and a way to care for one another. ♥️ -Kristin

This practice is not sold - it’s shared from the heart - because we really love what yoga is and does.

Thank you for sharing yoga with such with such creativity and energetic attunement. Your presence guides us into rhythm, breath, and embodied clarity - grounding us while inviting aliveness to move freely. Thank you for the care, skill, and quiet magic you share every week at Community Yoga Center!

i’m looking forward to The Art of Vinyasa offering this afternoon and hope to practice in commUNiTY with many of our yogi friends! ♥️-Kristin

THE ART OF VINYASA This offering is a vitalizing, movement-oriented postural practice designed to optimize energetic activation. Through rhythm, repetition, and flowing sequences, the practice engages muscles and the cardiovascular system while building strength and increasing stamina. Synchronized movement and breath support the release of physical tension and mental stress, allowing both gross and subtle energetic blocks to soften. The result is a practice that is both grounding and enlivening - cultivating clarity, resilience, and a deep sense of embodied vitality.

This week on the mat was ashta-awesome! Bodies moving and breathing, hearts opening - together becoming a little more ashta-aware and ashta-alive. It was ashta-amazing!

What makes this practice so special is its accessibility.

Ashtanga yoga is known for being intense, advanced, or only for certain bodies. At Community Yoga Center, we practice something different. Here, ashtanga yoga is for everyone. Every body. Every background. Every level of experience. This is All-Abilities Ashtanga - and it’s rare. Very rare.

I am deeply grateful for Kimberly Jones, whose knowledge, skill, and unwavering commitment make this practice possible. Her guidance and dedication create a space where we can all move, breathe, and belong. This offering exists because of her love for yoga and willingness to share it generously, without gatekeeping.

All-Abilities Ashtanga challenges the assumptions that yoga is “not for you.” There’s no pressure to achieve a certain pose, no expectation of prior experience, and no cost to practice with us. This practice isn’t sold - it’s shared, freely and from the heart.

In this space, differences are welcomed, abilities are honored, and curiosity is encouraged. You’re invited to move in ways that feel safe and supportive for your body, explore your breath, and connect in community. Together, we co-create a space where everyone belongs, where yoga is a resource for health and wellness, not exclusivity.

If you’ve ever wondered what All-Abilities Ashtanga could feel like for your body, this is your invitation.

Come as you are.

Step onto the mat.

Breathe. Move. Open.

Leave a little more alive than when you arrived.
