As we gathered for the 101st Installation of Officers of Western Springs Lodge No. 1136, we do so with a deep sense of continuity, duty, and gratitude. Yesterday’s date, June 6th, carries profound meaning not only for our Lodge but for our nation and the world.
On June 6, 1944, Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy in what became known as D‑Day, a turning point in the fight against tyranny during the Second World War. It was a day defined by courage, sacrifice, and unwavering brotherhood virtues that resonate deeply with our Masonic teachings.
As we install our officers for the 2026-2027 Masonic year, we honor the legacy of those who stormed the beaches under impossible odds. Their example reminds us that leadership is not about titles, but about service. It is about stepping forward when called, standing firm in the face of adversity, and working together toward a higher purpose.
May we always remember the lessons of June 6th.
May we honor the past by the way we serve in the present.
And may the Great Architect of the Universe continue to guide Western Springs Lodge No. 1136 for generations to come.
Congratulations to the newly elected and appointed officers of our Lodge!
