🏠 California voters: Know the facts about Proposition 1.
On November 3, 2026, Californians will vote on Proposition 1, the Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2026.
If approved, the $11.25 billion bond would provide funding for affordable rental housing, affordable homeownership, down-payment assistance, veterans' home loans, housing preservation, and other housing programs across California.
The measure includes $600 million for the CalHome Program, which supports affordable homeownership opportunities for lower-income Californians.
Proposition 1 would also provide funding for housing serving veterans, seniors, people with disabilities, working families, farm workers, students, and other Californians.
At Habitat for Humanity Riverside, we believe informed communities are essential to meaningful conversations about housing affordability and homeownership.
