We have an update on sweet grandpa Earnest, but we also need your help for someone who has helped so many dogsā¤ļøā𩹠Many of you know Grandpa Ernest and have followed his journey since coming into our rescue. What you may not know is that the incredible woman fostering him has also opened her home to several hospice, senior, and medically fragile dogs that most people would never take on.
She has dedicated herself to giving forgotten dogs a safe place to land, a warm bed, and love during the hardest chapters of their lives.
Like many people, life hit, but she thought she would be back on her feet much sooner. She has been actively searching for work, exhausting every option, and doing everything she can to stay afloat. Unfortunately, a series of unexpected circumstances and changes to her housing situation have left her struggling to keep up.
This is not someone who has been irresponsible. This is someone who has spent years helping others, both human and canine and now finds herself needing help. The last thing we want is for dogs like Grandpa Ernest to lose the stability and comfort they have finally found. Ernest is deeply bonded to her, and after everything he has been through, moving him would be heartbreaking.
She continues to open her home to the seniors, the hospice cases and medical dogs. People like her are the reason so many of these animals get a second chance. Today, weāre asking our community to help support one of the people who has spent so much time helping dogs in need.
If youāre able to donate to her gofundme (link in stories)or help with housing or employment, it would mean the world so she can continue the lifesaving work she has devoted herself to. Letās show her the same compassion she has shown so many othersā¤ļø
If we cant help her keep her home or find another or a job, we will need a new foster for Earnest. He is good with cats and dogsš„ŗšš¼ā¤ļøāš©¹
