March is National kidney month!

Anyone in the Long Island area, the LI PKD Chapter will be represented at the "Battle of the Causes" being held at the Riverhead Hilton Garden Hotel from 2-6pm. Monies donated to our Chapter will be matched 100% if we can win some of the "Battles". This is a FAMILY event, so bring the family and have some FUN. There will be 6+ Charities represented, and lots of media attention to build awareness of our disease.

Great news is... We ARE having our annual Long Island PKD Holiday Potluck!!! Please join us on Sunday, December 11th from 2-5 pm. Lorraine and Norman Kuerner will be our gracious hosts once again! Please let us know if you can join us. We will then send you the details.

First, I want to congratulate all of you on another successful walk season. We are still taking donations in through Dec. 31st. So when you get a chance, log onto your walk page and see how close you are to
goal---take a look to see if there are any outstanding pledges on your account and see how you can go about collecting them. Some of these people you might know personally and can call them up, or you might want to do a general email to urge your donors to get those pledges in. Most of the northeast region walks do not have many outstanding pledges.

As of today our pledges though all northeast walks add up to $6,178- so congrats to most of you, we really don't have TOO MUCH in our pledge accounts, However, that is $6,178 towards our northeast goal...and some of that money could get each of you to your walk goals too!

As a Northeast Team we have a little over a month and a half left of fundraising. Some of you are VERY close to your goal and I would love to help you get there.

Ask your team captains to reach out to their team and let them know they can still donate till Dec 31st to reach your walk goal

Share with your team captains, and walkers what your walk goal is and don't be afraid to ask for creative ideas

Remember the Holidays are coming around too which is a great time of year to ask

As a Northeast Region last year (excluding the Boston Walk) we took in so far this year as a northeast region we are at approximately $538,841.25
