A Big Step for East End Food — and an Exciting Road Ahead!
Last week, we had the honor of welcoming Commissioner Richard Ball to the East End Food Hub to celebrate an incredible milestone: East End Food has been awarded a $5 million School Food Infrastructure Grant!
This funding allows us to purchase the future home of our regional food hub, a space where local farms and food producers will connect directly with schools, institutions, and community members.
We’re deeply grateful for this support — it’s a huge step forward in building a more resilient and equitable local food system. But this is just the beginning. While this grant supports the purchase and construction of the facility, we still need community support to bring it to life — to hire staff, resume programs, and start moving local food through the hub.
