"Egregious destruction." "Completely ignoring federal laws and now the judicial process underway for East Potomac Park that challenges their actions." Ignoring the will of the people and care for our treasured and historic places and lands has to stop!
More than 500 trees have been cut down within East Potomac Park. This action isn't only alarming on behalf of the trees; it's indicative of a larger, dangerous pattern in how the administration treats our public lands and national parks.
Ed Stierli, NPCA's vice president of government relations sums it up: “This egregious destruction continues to show how the Trump administration operates as if laws don’t apply. They continue to move forward, disregarding the will of the American people for which these lands belong, completely ignoring federal laws and now the judicial process underway for East Potomac Park that challenges their actions."
