Hebrews 4:5 (amp)
For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin.
Comfort for the deep dark nights compounded by silence from above.
He already knows how hard we’re fighting, because He fought the same battles that we are facing. Exactly the same battles.
The silence is saying to stay the course, don’t give up, you’re gaining power as you stand and wait upon the Lord your Savior, Creator, and God.
He never falls nor is He late (though by the world clock it’s different). Remembering, He’s NOT of this world but created it. He’s not of our human reasoning, but understand it.
He’s God Almighty,
The Creator of all that is, all that has ever been, and all that will ever be which is good.
He is our Alpha and Omega. Meaning He was with us before our conception, before our creation, and will stay with us throughout eternity.
We may not understand what’s going on, how to handle it, or even when it’ll get better,
but …..
what we DO KNOW is that He’ll never ever leave us because that’s His promise.
We DO KNOW, He’ll work everything out for our good and bless us with what we’ve lost in the process by many times 7,10, even 100 fold.
These are infallible promises He’s given us (again, remembering He’s not of a man nor of this world. Therefore, when He makes a promise, you can count on it more than any other offer you’ve ever even heard of let alone experienced).
Be encouraged and know that all you need to do is hold on and trust Him.
Allow Him to do what ONLY He can do.
Easier said than done?
Yeah, He knows that too.
But He already knew you’d pass this season or He wouldn’t have allowed it to come upon you.
As a toddler doesn’t understand why he can touch everything, why he has to sleep when he wants to play, why he has to give up his binky when he believes he needs it, why he has to go to school and learn when he just wants to play with his friends, why as a teenager he’s told he can stay out all night, he can’t hang with the crowds he’s flowing with, he can’t have the car just yet, and so very much more…. but must except it on blind faith, trusting that our parents know what’s best for that season, so too, do we need to trust Father God knows exactly where we are, knows our struggles, when we need help, when is the right time to step in, and when to raise us up to the next season.
All we do is follow His leading. Despite the temptations, the duration, and the intensity of the season, pray, and stand in His promises of protection and provision. Stand in His sovereignty and wisdom.
If we don’t hear what we’re to do or where we’re to go, it’s because we’re to stand in the knowledge that He is in charge and has worked it all out.
Continue to stand doing the last thing He told you to do until He tells us the door is open for something new.
Praying in tongues at all times, knowing that as we’re praying, not only are millions of others joining you in prayer at that exact moment across the globe, but more importantly, the Holy Spirit is actually speaking through you and interceding on your behalf. Showing us, that even in the darkest of seasons, He has us covered when we’re without strength and feel so alone, vulnerable, and defenseless, He’s right beside us (reminding us, we can do this), in front of us (paving the way), and behind us (protecting us through to our next season).
He’s never abandoned us not left us defenseless.
So Stand with head held high, shoulders back, and full of courage because our Father is roaring as we’re moving in our extremely long, deep, dark nights.
Thank You ABBA Father, for never leaving even when I cried and loaned. Even when I thought and maybe even said things that weren’t fair or true about You, You stayed with me and helped me to get through. So even in this season, I’ll praise You and rely on You to do as You always have, BE MY GOD and MY CREATOR, MY ALL IN ALL. I give You ALL PRAISE, GLORY, and HONOR for truly You alone deserve it. In Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen
