Patriarchy harms men, too.
When we talk about reproductive justice, gender equity, and bodily autonomy, we're also talking about the systems that shape men's lives.
Traditional masculinity norms often teach men to suppress emotions, avoid seeking help, and equate vulnerability with weakness. The result isn't strength; it's isolation, poorer mental health outcomes, delayed healthcare, and increased risk of su***de and substance use.
Men in the United States are significantly less likely to seek mental health treatment than women, despite experiencing many of the same challenges. Stigma surrounding emotional expression and help-seeking remains a major barrier to care.
Reproductive justice is about more than access to healthcare; it's about creating a world where everyone has the autonomy, support, and resources they need to thrive.
Challenging harmful gender norms benefits all of us.
A healthier future means making space for men to ask for help, express emotions, build supportive relationships, and access care without shame.
Because gender justice isn't a women's issue. It's a human issue.
💙 If you're struggling, reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
