The parade starts Monday May 25th at 9:30 am at Ashland Avenue and Iowa street. Parade heads south on Ashland Avenue, then heads west on Lake Street concluding in Keystone Park. There is a "No Siren Zone" between Iowa Street and Chicago Avenue.
At the end of the parade route Keystone Park becomes the center of a small-town celebration. To honor our military, there is a somber and reverent service with the River Forest Police Honor Guard presenting the colors and the playing of taps to serve as the final tribute to our fallen service members.
After the presentation, free hotdogs and chips are provided, live music is played, and children enjoy playing in the park on inflatables. The Oak Park Chamber of Commerce presents the “Business Bash”, where local businesses give information on their business or sell retail products to those in the park.
