Exciting update: We recently added “Flex Pens” to our inventory sheet!

You might be wondering “What’s a flex pen, and why does MedEx have them?”

Well, here’s the explanation:

To begin, flex pens are exactly what they sound like they are … flexible pens!

One of our Chicago partner organizations operates a jail ministry program, and they recently requested this type of pen since the jail has strict rules on what items can be taken inside.

“Ok, now why are you supplying this organization with pens? I thought MedEx usually provides medical supplies and equipment.”

Well, it’s true that we have a focus on medical supplies, but remember that our mission is to “help those in need maintain their dignity and good health”, and it’s important to realize that spiritual wellness is a dimension of one’s overall health. Considering that jail ministry initiatives work to strengthen spiritual health and provide a lot of hope to individuals impacted by incarceration, then expanding our work in this way is certainly another way for us to carry out our MedEx mission!

MedEx International would like to acknowledge and thank Jack Williams for his hard work and commitment these past few months. After a successful fundraiser, Jack assembled 785 kits containing supplies for those experiencing homelessness across the Chicagoland area. He worked diligently with our team to create three different types of kits, and we wish Jack the best of luck as he finalizes the paperwork for his Eagle Project Report!

Here is an update from Jack WiIliams. He is making great progress with his Eagle Project!

For those facing housing insecurity and homelessness, the Covid-19 pandemic has added another layer of hardship and uncertainty to their lives. The basic needs of food, and especially hygiene, are more important than ever.

I have planned an Eagle Project that adresses these needs by providing care kits containing hygeine products, such as toothbrushes, and snacks for those who are homeless in the Chicagoland area.

I ask for your donations to address these needs. My Eagle Project scales based on how many kits can be crafted, meaning your donation will make a direct impact on the life of whoever receives a kit.

Any amount is appreciated, and can be made via the Paypal link attached below and checks made out to MedEx International.
