A big gay THANK YOU to everyone who came to our first National Coming Out Day Open Mic last night! Students shared gorgeous art, inspiring words, and a whole lot of love with DU's q***r community. We hope this positive, welcoming energy carries through the rest of the semester! 🌈❤️

Common Ground would like to extend special thanks to Natalie Stellato, the art curator extraordinaire; Cecilia Winters, the talented photographer; and Pablo Vargas, Murray Hall's Social Justice Advocate who put so much effort into organizing this event.

Dominican University students celebrated National Coming Out Day with an Open Mic Night. Over 80 people attended this event, hearing poems, songs, and stories about the experiences of coming out and living as a q***r person. Common Ground wants to thank all the student volunteers and performers for making the night so uplifting and welcoming!

If you have paintings, drawings, posters, or any other type of visual art connected to the LGBTQ+ community, now is your chance to display it.
