Promise of Growth was founded by Chaquita Harris and Tamerra Taylor-Washington, two African American women from the suburbs of Chicago. Harris and Washington combined their skills of comm

unity outreach, real estate, business and finances to develop a holistic approach to cater to young women often without resources in their communities or means to access resources. Co-Founder Chaquita Harris brings her knowledge of business from the haircare industry. As a certified loctician and hair braider, she has gained community integrity as a businesswoman and has proven to be dedicated to the growth and positive self-image of young women. Co-Founder Tamerra Taylor-Washington brings her knowledge of finances to the organization and helps strategize development opportunities for the organization and its clients. As an experienced real estate broker, Washington provides a keen understanding of professional networking and community support. Promise of Growth seeks to support a population of women in Chicago and surrounding suburbs as a way to drive economic education and understanding to underserved communities and serve as a primary resources for healthy, thriving women.
