Huge thank you to Bella Colina Produce and Flower Farm for their generous donation of 102 pounds (!!) of sweet corn! 🌽🌽 We helped distribute this corn to the River Falls Community Food Pantry - RFCFP and Servant of The Shepherd Church. If you have excess produce from your home, garden, or farm, please keep Grow to Share in mind as we would love to help distribute that produce to those in need in our community. Reach out to us to make arrangements!

Reminder that tonight's Pride in the Garden Book Club 🌈 has been rescheduled to September 16 at 6 pm in the gardens. In the event of inclement weather, we will be meeting instead at 7 pm at Fox Den Books.

📣Autumn volunteer hours update!🍁 Starting September 1, we will be adjusting our volunteer hours to the following schedule:

Monday: 4-6 pm
Wednesday: 9-12 noon
Thursday: 4-6 pm
Friday: 9-12 noon
Sunday: 4-6 pm

We have a couple of different days compared to the summer and our evening sessions are moving an hour earlier to account for shortening days. Mark your calendars!📆

Do you have excess produce from your own garden? We are seeking produce grown by like-minded, eco-conscious individuals to help expand our impact. All you have to do is bring us your extra produce and we will distribute it to our partner organizations who will get that food in the hands of our community members who need it most. Paul Fleischman's "Seedfolks" is the pick for this month's Environmental Sustainability Book Club meeting. "Seedfolks" tells the intertwining stories of members of a Cleveland, OH neighborhood who decide to create a community garden in an abandoned lot.

Come join us for discussion in the gardens on Wednesday, August 19th at 6:30pm! Fox Den Books will be the backup location if the weather doesn't cooperate. Hope to see you there!

I found a friend in our raised beds yesterday morning: say hello to a baby Black Swallowtail caterpillar! His favorite food is fennel, which we are happy to share with him. Keep an eye out for these friendly caterpillars on your carrots, fennel, or dill!
