Walk On was a proud sponsor of the UWRF Rodeo this past weekend. Great time for all the College teams and athletes.

Never forget

25 years ago last night Katy and I started Walk On with 5 riders and 15 volunteers. It was a program to see what interest would be there. Everyone was full of excitement and laughter.
The next morning the events of 9/11 occurred.
As everyone arrived to Walk On a week later for the 2nd session, the riders and volunteers were somber and really not saying much.
We acknowledge the events of the past week and began getting riders on horses and started the one hour class.
Soon the mood and attitudes changed in a positive way.
At the end of the class Everyone was talking, laughing, smiling and having fun.
This is an example of the power of the equine and the positive outcomes they produce.
With that effect on that evening I knew we were starting an Awesome journey and here we are 25 years later.
Remembering today all the Souls that lost their lives on 9/11.
