🌙 The Night Before Cub Family weekend at Camp NoBeBoSco
The moon hung low over River Edge, glowing like a lantern guiding the way to adventure. Inside homes all across town, the Scouts of Pack 229 were buzzing with excitement — the kind of excitement that makes backpacks zip faster, flashlights shine brighter, and sleeping bags roll themselves up (well… almost).
It was the night before Cub Family Weekend, and every Scout felt it.
In one house, a Lion Scout practiced his best campfire cheer, trying not to wake the dog.
In another, a Wolf Scout triple‑checked her gear: water bottle, Class B shirt, flashlight, and of course… snacks.
Across town, a Webelos Scout whispered to his little brother, “Tomorrow we’re going to Camp NoBeBoSco. It’s the coolest place ever.”
Meanwhile, the grown‑ups were doing their own kind of preparing — printing Medical Forms A & B, packing extra socks, and reminding everyone that there’s no breakfast served on Saturday, so they’d better eat before hitting the road.
As the night grew quieter, something magical seemed to drift through the air — a feeling that tomorrow would be special. The Scouts could almost hear the forest calling them, the lake shimmering in the distance, the trails waiting for new footsteps.
Backpacks stood ready by the door.
Uniforms were laid out neatly, with yellow Class B shirts tucked underneath.
Flashlights were tested one last time — click, click.
And as each Scout drifted off to sleep, they dreamed of what awaited them:
- Hikes beneath towering trees
- Campfire stories and s’mores
- New friends and big laughs
- Adventures they’d talk about all year long
Because Pack 229 doesn’t just go camping — they bring the energy, the teamwork, and the heart that makes every trip unforgettable.
And so, on that peaceful night before the big weekend, one thing was certain:
Pack 229 was ready.
Ready for adventure.
Ready for memories.
Ready for Camp NoBeBoSco.
