The National Weather Service has issued a RED FLAG WARNING FOR OUR AREA. BBEC wildfire mitigation protocols are in effect and may cause longer outage times.
Also keep in mind our transmission providers (BPA, Avista and Grant PUD) may implement power shutoffs to prevent wildfires. This type of outage or power shutoff is out of our control and we are forced to wait until the transmission provider clears its line and can reenergize safely.

During times of high fire danger, our highest priority is the safety of our members, community and crews. For more information on our wildfire mitigation plan please visit our website at https://www.bbec.org/outages-safety/wildfire-mitigation/ and keep your contact information up to date so that we can contact you regarding outages.

It's that time of year again. Temperatures across the Inland Northwest will gradually warm this weekend through early next week with highs on Monday in the mid 80s to mid 90s. On Tuesday, a dry cold front will bring elevated to critical fire weather conditions to the Inland Northwest. Any new fires in dry grasses can easily escape control and become very difficult to contain.
