Adams Conservation District Adams Conservation District is dedicated to the education and promotion of natural resource conservation.

The mission of the Adams Conservation District is to provide technical, financial and educational assistance to landowners/operators to conserve natural resources. We provide financial and technical support to help local landowners/operators implement better management practices. Our goal is to work together with local residents and partner agencies to protect the natural resources that sustain us

all. Often times management practices can be modified to improve the quality and quantity of resources, while benefitting the overall operation. By sharing our experience and knowledge with each other, we can preserve the beautifully unique county in which we live.

Since we've been getting more inquiries about virtual fencing we wanted to share a webinar from Halter Virtual Fencing that may be useful for producers interested in how virtual fencing can support calving management and pasture rotation. Two ranchers currently using the system will walk through how they manage calved pairs, track groups across pastures, and what they’ve learned so far. Additional learning sessions coming in late‑March. While ACD doesn't promote products, we hope operators find learning opportunities like this useful when evaluating their management options.

Here are the precipitation reports for 2024 & 2025! As requested we also put together precipitation reports by growing season. The reports for the 2017-2025 seasons are now on our website homepage under Precipitation Reporting. Reporting prior to 2017 will be uploaded in the near future.
