Hello everyone!

I wanted to take a second and invite you all to our 34th annual Rittman Band Revue on Saturday, October 17th at 7:00pm! Our HS band has worked hard this season and would love to see you there as they showcase their hard work. We also will have our 7th grade band performing a song with the HS band during the pre-show.

Here is the general information:

-Date: Saturday October 17th

-Time: Show starts at 7:00pm, gates open at 6:00pm

-Tickets: $10 for adults, $5 for students

-Candy grams, concessions, and shout outs are available.

Hello everyone,

Here is the information for this week's performances. I am including information for the 7th grade and HS in this, so please read carefully to make sure you know what applies to each band.

HS make sure you clean any dirt and mud off your uniforms and shoes for Saturday.

10/16 Northwestern Game - Away (HS Only)
-Report time to RHS: 5:00pm
-Uniform: West Point
-Depending on weather, I may switch the uniform to jeans/athletic pants and the band t shirt (with long sleeves underneath) to keep our uniforms clean for the show Saturday, I will send out a Remind Friday with the final decision.
-You can bring extra gloves, hot hands, hats in a drawstring bag if you would like since it is getting colder.

10/17 Rittman Band Show Rehearsal/Decorating (High School Band Only)
-Report time to North Street: 12:00pm
-Dress for the weather! We will be outside all day and make sure you eat something before you come!
-Once we rehearse, we will decorate and set up for the show, once this is done everyone is free to leave. I will send out a Remind when students are dismissed.
-If you want to bring your uniform to the rehearsal and leave it in North street so it is already there that is fine!

10/17 Rittman Band Show Performance (BOTH 7th Grade and HS)
-Report time to the FRONT of North Street: 5:45pm
-Uniforms (HS): We will use the white X for Preshow and the R for the end of the show.
-Uniforms (7th): Wear Rittman shirts and jeans. Dress for the weather!
-7th Grade needs to take instruments home Thursday after school since there is no school Friday. I will bring their music to the stadium.
-I would like 7th graders to stay and watch the whole show with the HS if possible. If they cannot, I need a written note or email beforehand letting me know what time they will be leaving. Some parents have already done that which is much appreciated!
-At the end of the show 7th grade is dismissed after Rittman performs (unless I have heard from your parents that you are leaving earlier). HS students have to stay and help tear down and clean up the stadium then are dismissed.
-Make sure to bring money for anything you want to buy and 7th graders you are expected to follow the HS rules when you are with us (acting appropriately in public, watching the show, keeping phones put away unless it is concession time). We will go over all this this week.

Other information about the show:
-Gates open at 6:00pm, show starts at 7:00pm. The 7th graders perform in the beginning with the HS.
-Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for parents
-Concessions, shout outs, and candy grams are available to buy as well.
-For anyone that ordered a shirt through the preorder link, please pick it up at the spirit wear table.

Tonight the band traveled to Buckeye Trail HS to perform in their band show! Seniors Preston, Libby, Elisha, and Emily represented the band in the awards presentation. Percussionists Riley and Sofia also were a part of the mass Jig 2 drumline performance. Shout out to Riley for playing the quad solo!

We had our first rainy performance tonight at Buckeye Trail! All instruments need to be taken out of cases and set in the band room on the floor to air dry. All uniforms need to go home and each part needs to be hung up to air dry. Bring them back Monday or Tuesday once they are dry!

Tonight’s football game was senior night! Marching band seniors were recognized with the football, cheer, and cross country seniors!

Hello HS Band Families,

I have been asked about this already, so I wanted to send out some information now. The last football game traditionally has been considered the "Halloween Game" since it is close to Halloween. The band dresses up in costumes for the final halftime performance. I wanted to give some guidelines now, so you have time to plan and prepare.

--We will go to the game wearing jeans and our band T Shirts.
--I will send small groups of 4 of 5 at a time to go get changed and ready during the first half of the game.
--All costumes MUST be school appropriate and follow all school dress code policies.
--You still need to be able to see and march in your costume so do not wear something that will get in the way of your sight or movement.

Hello HS Band Families,

Before I give out the performance info for the week I have a few notes:
--Make sure you are cleaning dirt/mud off uniforms and shoes before performances.
--Now that we are in the colder weather, you can bring gloves, hot hands, and winter hats in your draw string bags to wear in the stands and when we are not performing.
--Blankets are not allowed in the stands; you need to dress in layers now that it is colder. You can wear long sleeves, hoodies, sweatpants, athletic pants under the uniforms.
-----Legs of athletic/sweat pants need to be tucked into your long black socks.
-----Hoods from hoodies need to be under the jacket during performances, but can be out when we are not performing
-----Long sleeves need to be rolled up enough that they do not extend past the uniform coat when we are performing, but can extent past the coat when we are not performing.

-Date: Friday October 9th
-Call Time to North Street: 6pm
--Seniors I will be there early so you can drop your stuff off in Northstreet before your call time for Senior Night. Make sure you ask someone to grab your instrument for pregame.
-Uniform: R

Buckeye Trail Band Show
-Date: Saturday October 10th
-Call Time to RHS: 2:30pm
-Uniform: West Point
---Do not come dressed as we will be rehearsing at call time.
---Boosters will provide pizza for lunch after we rehearse as this show is pretty far away.

Hello 5-12 Band Families

Just a reminder that the Pepperoni Rollers will be delivered on Thursday, October 8th. Pick up will be in the HS band room. I will be here from 4:00pm-8:00pm that day for pick up, please plan on picking them up during that time as I have no way of keeping them cold overnight. HS students can take theirs home Thursday directly after marching band rehearsal.
