🐷🐽UPDATE🐽🐷

We took in the wandering pig on Tuesday evening and he has been settling in well. We are giving him ample time to decompress after a stressful few days. He is eating and drinking well and is a wagging when we talk to him. He is a very sweet boy, just nervous. We are letting him set the pace and are eagerly waiting for whenever he decides he’s ready for some pets and belly rubs.

Thank you to everyone who made this rescue possible by updating on his whereabouts. This story could have had a very different ending. A special thank you to our rockstar volunteers, Ericka Hoffman and Tony Hoffman. Whether it’s fixing fencing, oil changes, building ramps, or wrangling pigs - they are always there with a helping hand and extra bungee cord. They are starting to get suspicious of our 5pm phone calls that start with “are you busy?”

We are following up on some leads on the potential owners and will update everyone who has been following his story.

UPDATE!!! THE BIG GUY WAS TAKEN IN BY Favorite Oasis ANIMAL SANCTUARY UNTIL THE OWNER CAN BE LOCATED. WE THANK THEM FOR THEIR KINDNESS TO ALL ABUSED, NEGLECTED AND ABANDONED ANIMALS WHO NEED CARE!

This little piggy has been wandering around the area of Sylvania-Metamora Rd and Mitchaw Road. While he seems to be enjoying his unguided tour of our neighborhoods, we're sure the owner would like to know where he's headed next.

If you spot this big guy, please post his current location in the comments so we can help point the owner in the right direction. We don't currently know who the owner is, so any help in that regard would be greatly appreciated.

A quick note: while we're happy to help spread the word, the Sylvania Township Police Department does not have a way to house him until the owner is located. Therefore, there's no need to call us with sightings.

We're hopeful this piggy's journey will end with a safe trip back home (while shouting "wee, wee, wee!" all the way). However, we'd also love for him to henceforth be known as the "little piggy who stayed home."

It’s spring which means the sun is shining and our residents are back to enjoying roaming their pastures 🌞 it also means the flies are back 🪰

Happy Friday from Albert! Albert has been loving these sunny days wandering his pasture with his goat friends, especially Daisy. Albert will follow Daisy around, laying next to her to keep her warm or block the sun from her eyes - chivalry is alive 💚🐐
