If you’re a business owner in Cecil County, the Cecil Catalyst Program is a resource designed to help local businesses grow.

This is a low-interest loan program created to support small businesses and entrepreneurs who may have difficulty obtaining traditional financing due to limited collateral, equity, or cash flow. The program’s goal is to encourage business growth and job creation in Cecil County!

The funding can be used for:
• Leasehold improvements
• Construction, renovation, or rehabilitation
• Purchasing machinery or equipment
• Real estate acquisition (if the business occupies at least 51% of the property)
• Working capital and other approved business expenses

Businesses may apply for $5,000 up to $75,000, with the potential for higher amounts with additional approval.

Programs like Cecil Catalyst exist to help strengthen our local business community and provide opportunities for entrepreneurs across Cecil County. We all grow together!

If you’re considering starting or expanding a business, this program may be worth exploring!

Not only do they handle the standard accidents, lockouts, roadside service, or towing, but they also offer a designated driver service! If you do not have a safe way home tonight, Vandykes will take you and your vehicle home for free. Our community is better together!

Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they were received. Not all vendors can be accepted due to space limitations. Previous vendors who did not comply with Sunfest policies and rules will not be granted a spot. Invoices will be sent to accepted vendors on May 1, 2026. Those placed on the waitlist will be notified on May 1, 2026.
