The Nebraska Simmental Association State Fair Show has begun this morning in Grand Island. We are showing Foundation Females first, followed by Purebred Females, Foundation Bulls, Pueebred Bulls and Groups. Full results will be posted later along with photos as they become available.

NEBRASKA SIMMENTAL ASSOCIATION
2026 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Nebraska Simmental Association will offer two scholarships per year, valued at $1,500 apiece. Those who are awarded this scholarship will be ineligible to re-apply.
Applicants must be a current Junior Simmental Association member. Applicants must be a graduated high school senior in 2026 or undergraduate who will be enrolling in a two or four year post high school educational program during the fall of 2026. This scholarship can be used for any educational program relating to Artificial Insemination, Embryo Transplant or ag/nutritional programs.

Postmark Deadline Friday, September 11th, 2026 .

2026 National Jr. Simmental Classic. The NSA and NJSA is looking for volunteers for 1) Staging at the Nationals 2) Handing out welcome gifts. 3) Parking trailers. If anybody is interested in volunteering, please contact Diane Duren at 402-367-2272, Anna Krieger at 269-470-7553 or Joy Lauritsen at 402-317-1820 to get your name on the schedule. We have two-hour time slots available starting on July 3rd at 5 PM until July 5th at 6 AM - 8 AM. IF you want to cover more than a two hour time slot, we welcome that, too.

The NSA and NJSA is pleased to announce the Simmental Overall Sr. and Simmental Overall Jr. at our recent NE Jr. Beef Expo that was held in Albion, NE on June 5th-7th, 2026. Points are kept for contests on Saturday, and the cattle show on Sunday.

Luke Katz, Beatrice, NE, was the Overall Sr. for the weekend. He will receive a belt buckle in memory of Jim Suver.

Grant Miller, Ashland, NE, was the Overall Jr. for the weekend. He will receive a belt buckle in memory of Jim Suver.
