Dear Ririe Little League Families,
We are reaching out with some difficult news regarding this summer’s season.
THERE IS CRYING IN BASEBALL THIS YEAR!
Due to ongoing construction on the school grounds, we no longer have access to the fields where we typically hold our games and practices. We have spent a significant amount of time exploring other location options within Ririe. However, because the Little League is not currently established as a formal organization, we are unable to secure use of other facilities at this time.
Even if we were able to get everything set up quickly, it would likely require us to hold games across multiple locations, which would be challenging for families and difficult to manage effectively.
After carefully weighing all of these factors, we have made the very tough decision to cancel the Ririe Little League season for this summer.
We are truly sorry. We know how disappointing this is and that it may create inconvenience for many of your families. This was not a decision we made lightly, and we sincerely apologize for the impact it may have.
Moving forward, we will be focusing our efforts on establishing the league as an official organization and working to secure reliable field space so we can come back strong and provide a well-organized season next summer.
For families still hoping to participate this year, neighboring leagues in Ucon, Iona, and Rigby currently have registration open until May 1st and may be good alternatives to consider.
All registration fees will be fully refunded this week. If you mailed in your registration form and fee, please contact us regarding what you would like us to do with your check.
If you do not see your refund or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
