Together with the RHS Science Club, we assembled the Periodic Table of Black Scientists and Mathematicians for Black History Month. Nearly 100 faces and stories of contributions to the STEM fields.

This week, we joined other organizations during the Ripon High School mental health night. We had temporary tattoos with mental health saying, symbols, and were also able to talk with some kiddos about different breathing techniques to help them calm down. We would like to thank Mrs. Emmy Jess for helping with this and putting together this amazing opportunity for our club.

To honor International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27th, the Social Justice Alliance has been displaying information including a timeline of events leading to the Holocaust, literature, and photos from the Museum of Tolerance which members of the SJA were able to visit last summer during their social justice trip to Southern California.

Late in posting, but the Social Justice Alliance was well-represented at the RHS Homecoming parade. Students had a great time sharing candy and promoting acceptance, diversity, and equity.

The last night, we drove to the beach, shared what we appreciated the most about our trip and at midnight Central Standard Time, we celebrated Mr. Roost's birthday. His family was generous enough to share him with us for both Father's Day AND his birthday.

Our last stop was to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. The students particularly enjoyed "Barbie to Anna Karenina: The Cinematic Worlds of Sarah Greenwood and Katie Spencer". So much amazing things to see.
