June is PTSD Awareness Month

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an invisible wound that affects millions of people, including active-duty service members, veterans, first responders, and their families.

PTSD does not mean someone is weak. It does not mean they are broken. It is a human response to trauma, loss, fear, and experiences that no one should have to carry alone.

Too often, those who are struggling suffer in silence because they fear judgment, retaliation, or being seen differently. That silence can be devastating.

This month, we encourage everyone to learn more about PTSD, check in on those around you, and remind those who may be struggling that help is available and healing is possible.

If you are an active-duty service member and need support, remember that you have the right to seek confidential mental health care through The Brandon Act. Asking for help is not weakness—it is courage.

To anyone carrying burdens that feel too heavy: You are not alone. Your story is not over. Your life matters.

Together, let's replace stigma with understanding, silence with conversation, and fear with hope.
