This is what these organizations are all about, and I’m glad to share this.
Thank you to the VFW Auxiliary and the Marine
Corps League and the American Legion for getting together with us and bringing supplies to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in order to help the flood victims. We all can’t be there physically so we offer this to help.

Ripley will host a ceremony to honor Korean Veterans, on the courthouse lawn. The ceremony will be Saturday July 25th at 10:00 AM. Your attendance to show support for our Korean Veterans is greatly appreciated.

It has been a success, all the hard work of veterans walking the halls of the capital letting our voices heard has postponed the vote and the bill is looking to get re-worked. Let’s see what our politicians come up with next.

Many wonder what all these veteran organizations are all about, what are they for etc. most think it’s just a dark smoke filled room, bar full of old folks. A small portion of this may be true and most organizations are doing their best to change this persona. What a lot don’t realize is all of these organizations are advocates for veterans. We raise and collect money to help the veterans and our community. There are so many things most don’t see that these organizations do for veterans, and I’d like to bring one up here. H.R 9237 (TCAVA). Please read when time is available, educate yourself on the wording and what it means. Veteran organizations are fighting the good fight and trying to do the right thing. I encourage you to read and open a dialogue with one another. You can say what you mean and mean what you say,just understand you don’t have to say it mean. Below is the link to HR 9237.
Don’t just take other people’s ramblings and regurgitate, read for yourself and formulate your own opinion, this fight is happening now and it involves us all.
