The Ripley Lions Club worked on our environmental project today and picked up litter in town and about a mile down 52 outside of town. As you can see there was a lot of trash. It’s our hope that folks here and passing through town will do a little better job cleaning up after themselves. Thanks to the Lions that gave up their Saturday morning to help keep our community clean. We serve!!@

Thank you Ripley for turning out yesterday in the pouring rain to support our club. Our Sandwich Days allow us to continue our missions locally, state and internationally. We anticipated a slow day because of the weather but it turned out to be fantastic. The last few sandwiches were donated to our EMS first responders. Also there was great support for our Beebee Chapel Youth Group. Thanks Amber and Pastor Nya for putting that together. Also a special thanks to Bobby Armor and Joe Germann for your invaluable assistance and to our delivery man, Randy Truitt. The winner of Split the Pot was Randy Pendland who donated his portion back to the club. And to Lion Pat for getting drenched so our supporters didn’t have to. No wonder you’re Lion of the Year!

Finally a huge thank you to the members of the Ripley Lions Club!! You all are the absolute best group of people I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. You make work into a fun time. We’ll see you again in a month or so!
