Last night we held our annual Landowners Appreciation Dinner at Club 60, and were joined by the AWSC Miss Snowflake. It was great to interact with our landowners and have them get to know a wonderful young lady that the AWSC has to represent the great sport of snowmobiling. Again thank you to our Landowners and thank you to Jena for joining us!

Come support the Rio FFA Alumni and Supporters to help them support the Rio FFA Students. Members of both the Alumni and Highschool chapters are some of our landowners and future landowners.

The Rio FFA Alumni and Supporters organization is hosting a 9 Pin Tap Bowling Fundraiser and silent auction to raise funds to support our Rio FFA Students.

The Rio FFA Alumni has a goal to raise $8,000 in 2026 to will support Rio FFA Students with new waterlines for the school greenhouse, scholarships, and financial assistance for State and National Convention. The Bowling Fundraiser and silent auction is the first fundraiser we are hosting to help us accomplish this goal.

Thank you to everyone that stopped out to the Brat Fry today. We had a couple of young visitors that enjoyed their hot dogs. Also a very excited young man who got to sit in the groomer and wanted to go out and groom trails. He will probably end up grooming for us when he gets a bit older.

The Rio Doylestown SledHeads trails will be closing Wednesday morning December 17th at 6:00 AM. We are closing during this stretch of warmer weather to preserve the base that we have established, and to be respecful to our landowners so that we don’t damage their property that they allow our trails to pass through on. We are doing this in hopes that we get more snow to add to them and get the trails back open in the near future if Mother Nature cooperates.

Rio Doylestown SledHeads trails are partially open as of this evening. See the blue highlighted trails on the attached map.

Corridor 13 heading west of Doylestown is open, but closes at SS due to hunting, though you can continue north to Cambria. Corridor 13 west of Rio is also closed. Rio is only accessible from the south to the mobile gas station, no further.

Trails are in early riding condition, so please use extreme caution at all times. 

Call the Columbia County hotline (608) 227-7433 to learn of trail conditions across the county as many will remain closed due to hunting until January 2.

It’s been an exciting early snow season! Please respect the closed trails and landowners for the areas that aren’t open yet.

If you’re unsure if an area is open, see the Columbia County and neighboring county hotline numbers in the comments.

Our club is continuing to mark trails and clear down trees, so our trails will remain closed at this time.

There’s no better time to volunteer and become a club member to contribute towards the sport that we all love!

Good Morning Snowmobile Wisconsin!! 😁❄️

Over the weekend clubs in Southern Wisconsin have begun to open their trails! Much of the area received up to 4” of fluffy snow overnight!!

Iowa and Green Counties have opened with the exception of a few trails. Trail sections in Lafayette County opened Saturday. Much of Dane County and part of Columbia County opening today! Walworth County also checking in with the exception of a few trails.

Such an exciting time to be a snowmobiler!! Know where you can and can’t go. Ride with caution. These are early season conditions. Stay between the blazers. 🔸❄️

With a slight warm up, but continued snow and cold… This could be the beginning of a beautiful thing!!! Stay tuned… 🤞❄️
