Update from Ingrid on Rio Nido Mail Delivery:

If anyone is still waiting to hear back about a form 4232 submitted to the Guerneville Post Office for a new free mailbox inside the Postal Station, please email us at: [email protected]

The validated forms are supposed to be sent to me so that I can issue the keys to the new mailboxes, but the process has been inconsistent at best, and a number of forms have been lost or misplaced. You may need to resubmit if you are still waiting.

For those that are planning to submit a form 4232 but haven’t yet, we have printed copies with instructions available on the bulletin board inside, you are welcome to take one. Please take a photo of it and email it to the above address, so that I can give you your keys even if the verified form never makes it back to me via USPS… we’ve already had multiple applicants start receiving mail without knowing it.

Regarding the ZIP code change, we have now been officially added to the Address Management System as Rio Nido, CA 95446. This is the database managed by USPS to validate addresses, and is accessed regularly by companies like Amazon, financial institutions, bulk mail purchasers, etc. For those of us who have had trouble with package delivery because our only mail option was a PO Box, this problem should be on its way to being fixed with our new mailboxes and the ZIP code in alignment. I have successfully received several USPS package deliveries to our new parcel lockers in the past few weeks, and all the automated online systems I’ve used now recognize my address. I know there has been some concern about the use of Rio Nido as our town name with the new ZIP code, but now that we’re in the AMS, USPS has officially recognized Rio Nido as our own town, separate from Guerneville!

As a reminder, if you would like to take a box inside the Postal Station, your address will be as follows:
