“The Little Danish Church is getting dressed in its finery! Gary Jensen and son Alex from Armstrong, Iowa, have been hard at work the past few days taking off the old siding and installing the new. The building looks fresh and rejuvenated, thanks to them for their expertise. This project is funded through a grant from the Emmet County Community Foundation and from donations to the museum.”

September 1st-It all starts today!! The “Walk for the Museum”! Have you decided what your goal is for getting healthier and helping the Ringsted Museum? How much are you going to challenge yourself? Remember you set your own goals for walking, jogging, running, biking, yoga, cross fit or whatever you do! Pledge a certain amount to the museum for each block, mile,or minute you exercise! When Sept is over send your pledge to RCIO in care of Diane Nelsen at 121 N Larch Ringsted Iowa! Pease make all checks payable to RCIO (Ringsted community Improvement Organization)! Remember you keep track -if you miss a day or week that’s okay! All challenge donations during this month will put you into a drawing for doe great Ringsted Prizes! Let’s help make our Little Danish Church Museum a treasure for generations to come!

Ringsted Community Improvement Organization (RCIO) is excited to announce their first annual “Lille Dansk Kirke”-Walk for the Ringsted Museum! This fundraiser for our Museum couldn’t be more fun or easier for you to participate in! Are you a walker, runner, bicyclist, jogger? Do you use a treadmill or city streets? Are you wanting to start getting healthier? We have the fundraiser for you!During the month of September (2023) all we ask you to do is keep track of the miles you exercise, personally pledge how much you would be willing to give per mile to the Museum, and at the end of the month of Sept. send us your calendar with miles you completed and the check! Miss a day or two-that’s okay -you are in charge if your own calendar! We will be posting a calendar you can use in August and will also have the calendars available throughout the community in August ( but you can use your own too!). We will be having some drawings for those that send in completed calendars and checks in October! You never have to be present for this fundraiser so all of you out of town alumni, former residents, or friends of Ringsted can participate! Hopefully we get people from our neighboring communities, from across the state, and nation involved! Do you stay in touch with a classmate in another state? Challenge them to participate! Get your whole family involved! You get healthier and the museum benefits! Watch for more announcements and calendars in August! Spread the news! Stay tuned for more information !
