Boynton Lions Club of Ringgold, Georgia The Lions Club works on a statewide level with Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind and the Emory Child Care Center.

Meets Second Tuesday of Month 6:30 at Boynton United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall Providing vision screening and eyeglasses for Catoosa County needy, youth scholarships, maintain Dailey Hills Cemetery, and area volunteering Another major community project is the long-term care and maintenance of the Dailey Hill Cemetery. The group is now receiving donations from friends and relatives of those

interred there to assist with the costs of mowing and upkeep. Donations may be sent to Boynton Lions Club c/o BUMC, 4246 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia 30736 Boynton Lions Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Boynton United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Seven of our club members were excited to conduct approximately 80 eye exams as we participated in the annual Catoosa County Kids Day At The Colonnade with the Catoosa Family Collaborative. We passed out hundreds of Lions coloring pages and our happy Lions mascot gave out hundreds of free hugs.

2026 Lion David Carlock Award winner – The Boynton Lions Club honors Boynton Elementary graduate that exhibits encouraging nature of service shared by late Lion David Carlock. Carlock, a television journalist, Catoosa County Magistrate Judge and Coroner, chose the principles of Lionism – fostering a spirit of understanding; promoting principles of good citizenship, and taking an interest in the welfare of others as benchmarks of his service. As these talented former Boynton Elementary students begin their middle school careers, The Boynton Lions Club honors Boynton Elementary graduates with the 2026 Major Thomas Duckett Awards - that exemplify the spirit and character of Catoosa County war hero Major Thomas Duckett. Duckett was reported MIA, missing in action, during the Vietnam War when his fighter jet was shot down. Duckett graduated from Boynton Elementary and Ringgold High School. Lions Club Treasurer Randall Franks (center) presented the 2026 awards including $100 to Boynton graduates Addyson LaCas and Wyatt Nicely.
