🎉 THREE-TIME FINALISTS! 🎉

We are thrilled to share some BIG news: LIFT Youth Center is a finalist in THREE categories for this year’s Georgia ASYD Awards happening this Thursday, August 27!

🏆 Excellence Award — LIFT Youth Center
🏆 Leadership Award — Tina Pinkston, LIFT Executive Director
🏆 Outstanding Out-of-School Time Staff Award — Morgan Wright, LIFT Program Manager at the Claudia Nance Rollins Youth Center

The Georgia Afterschool & Youth Development Awards recognize outstanding professionals and programs making a difference in the lives of children and youth, and we are incredibly honored to see our organization, Executive Director, and one of our Program Managers recognized among this year’s finalists.

This Thursday, we’ll be celebrating alongside some of the incredible people across Georgia who are working every day to create brighter futures for young people. 🧡

The 2026-2027 school year has officially kicked off!! 🎉💙🧡💛

Last week, it was such a joy to have them back in our Centers in Ringgold and Fort Oglethorpe for a full week. There is something special about seeing our Centers come alive again.

A new school year means a new year of opportunities to learn, grow, try something new, build connections, and discover what's possible. We're excited for everything this year will bring and grateful to be walking alongside so many incredible students!

💙 Grateful to Be a United Way Funded Partner 💙

Wednesday, we had the privilege of attending the United Way of Greater Chattanooga Funded Partner Breakfast, and we left feeling incredibly grateful for the work happening across our community.

It is truly an honor for LIFT Youth Center to partner with the United Way and to be part of a room filled with people who are committed to making our local communities stronger. From education and youth development to health, families, and basic needs, each organization brings a different piece of the puzzle. A room full of people all working toward the same goal: creating a better tomorrow for the people who call our communities home.

There is something powerful about being surrounded by so many people who believe that when we work together, we can accomplish more than any one organization could do alone.

We are grateful for the United Way’s investment in LIFT Youth Center's students!!

🍎 Thank You for Supporting Our Teachers! 🍎

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make our Teacher Breakfast possible at HMS, HHS, RMS, RHS, LMS, and LFO! 💙🧡💛

Just before the start of the school year, during in-service days for teachers, we had the opportunity to show some love and appreciation to the incredible teachers and school staff who pour so much into our students each day.

At LIFT, we know that supporting students also means supporting the amazing educators who encourage, guide, and inspire them throughout the school year. We loved having the opportunity to celebrate them as they prepared to welcome students back for another great year!

A huge thank you to BMG Bakery - Ringgold, Hardee's in Ringgold, and Hardee's in Fort Oglethorpe for helping make it possible for us to show our schools some appreciation!!

Our Ringgold Center will continue its normal after-school schedule, while our Fort Oglethorpe Center will begin a new schedule this school year.

We can’t wait to welcome back familiar faces and hear all about your summer adventures. We’re also excited to meet new students and help them feel right at home at LIFT.

☀️ Adventure has been in full swing at LIFT Outdoor Adventures!

Over the past few weeks, our students have experienced some amazing adventures across our region. From paddling the Hiwassee River and exploring the trails at Soddy Gulf to cooling off at Nooga Splash, relaxing at Chester Frost Park, and spending the day at Red Clay Resort, every trip has been filled with fun, laughter, and new experiences.

Outdoor Adventures is about more than visiting great places. It's an opportunity for students to build friendships, challenge themselves, unplug from screens, and make memories they'll carry with them long after summer ends.

We're so thankful for every student, volunteer, and supporter who has made this summer one to remember. Here's to even more adventures ahead!
