🚨 ALERT! 🚨

Emergency crews are now currently on scene of a structure fire, outside of the city limits, not related to the Po***ck wildland fire. A power outage is expected in the Riggins area for Firefighter safety.

Please be prepared for possible power interruptions and give emergency crews room to work safely.

UPDATE! Good news! No power outage is expected due to this fire! Thanks to the earlier fire, an Idaho Power employee was still in the area and was able to respond quickly. They were able to shut off power to just the affected location, avoiding a larger outage for the community! A big thank you to Idaho Power for the quick response!

5:30 AM Update! 🚒🔥 this is what the fire situation currently looks like. 

Your local first responders are finally heading home!

Idaho Department of Lands is on scene finishing things up alongside Donnelly Fire, McCall Fire, and White Bird Fire.

A HUGE thank you to our neighboring departments for coming out to lend a hand! We appreciate you guys more than you know! The windy conditions called for help!

Update at 3 AM. Fire is still going pretty good in the Po***ck area. No structures have been reported as a loss. Fire Fighters are still working hard.

-URGENT- There is a large grass fire in Po***ck behind the post office. It has spread into the trees and is threatening multiple structures. There are no evacuation orders at this time by the Fire Chief. Multiple resources are on the way. If you are in the area be prepared for evacuations and power outages.

I’ve always believed that living in a small, rural community shouldn’t mean having access to anything less than exceptional emergency medical care.

At Riggins Ambulance, we’ve NEVER been afraid to push the limits, embrace new technology, and bring advanced, lifesaving treatments to our patients. Pushing the Limits is my middle name.

And we’re getting ready to take another BIG step forward!

I’m excited to share that Riggins Ambulance will become just the SECOND ambulance service in the entire state of Idaho to offer this advanced treatment capability! 👀 I like being first, but missed this one. Congrats to Canyon County.

I’m incredibly proud of the EMS program we’ve built and the dedication of the team to continually improve the care we provide. I don’t believe in settling for “good enough.” We, as a team, are always looking for ways to do better.

My philosophy has always been simple: Patients come first, above everything else.

I’m keeping this one a secret for just a little longer as we finish certifications and getting equipment in stock…

🚑CHECK THIS OUT!! 🚑A few of the Riggins crew got to participate in a fantastic simulation with St. Luke's McCall, Meadows Valley Fire and Cascade Fire. This was a difficult airway/OB trauma simulator. The mannequin used was incredibly realistic and responsive. It's eye's move and react, it breathes on its own, it can talk to you, it has pulses and delivers vitals in real time to the monitor. All depending on what the provider is doing.This thing even gives birth on its own mechanically. Talk about a cool experience! Videos and more pictures in the comments.
