🎉🚙 The blessings continue! We are celebrating an incredible gift from Dorothy Pittman, who generously donated her vehicle to the Home of El Roi. This donation comes at exactly the right time and will help us transport residents, run errands, attend appointments, and meet the many day-to-day needs that come with serving families in recovery and restoration.

We are continually amazed by the people God brings alongside this ministry. He has sent his people.

Dorothy, thank you for your kindness, your servant's heart, and your investment in the families we serve. Your gift will make a difference for years to come.

📖✨ Around our tables, God’s Word is open every day.

At the Home of El Roi, healing and restoration are grounded in the truth of Scripture. Regular Bible study is an essential part of our program as moms learn to seek God’s wisdom, grow in their faith, and discover their identity in Christ. As our moms study God’s Word, they are finding hope, strength, encouragement, and direction for the journey ahead.

Have you been asking God, "How can I serve You?" Maybe the answer is closer than you think.

At the Home of El Roi, we walk alongside mothers and children as they pursue healing, restoration, and a new future. While financial gifts are important, some of the most powerful contributions come from people willing to give their time, wisdom, and experience.

If you have a background in case management, social services, family services, counseling support, resource coordination, or a related field, we would love to talk with you about volunteer opportunities that can make a lasting impact in the lives of our families.

You don't have to change the world. You simply have to be willing to walk alongside someone while God changes them.

A huge thank you to the amazing young ladies of Girl Scout Troop 20146 for choosing the Home of El Roi as part of their Bronze Award Project focused on acts of kindness and service to others.

These thoughtful girls collected and donated craft supplies, hygiene products, books, and clothing for the mothers and children we serve. We love seeing young people learn the value of compassion and community service, and these Girl Scouts have set a wonderful example. Thank you for using your time, talents, and hearts to make a difference in the lives of others.

WE GOT A VAN! 🎉🚐 We are celebrating God's provision and the incredible generosity of people who stepped forward to help make this happen. We now have a van to help transport our families to grocery shop, attend counseling and medical appointments, go to church, and to all the places that are part of their journey toward restoration. Every mile this van travels will be a reminder that our community believes in these families and is willing to invest in their future. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who gave!!!! You made this possible. Hope now has wheels. ❤️

From physical health and mental wellness to specialized services and support, these community partners are helping remove barriers and create opportunities for healing, restoration, and hope.

Sometimes healing looks like counseling sessions, parenting classes, and hard conversations. And sometimes healing looks like a little hand covered in paint.

Every evening at Home of El Roi, our moms and children gather for Bondaroo, which is a special time set aside for moms and their children to simply enjoy one another before the evening routine begins. It's a chance to laugh, play, create, and build the kinds of memories that strengthen relationships and help families heal.

For this particular Bondaroo activity, we were limited on paint colors, but one of our little ones didn't seem to notice. With Mama guiding his fingers, he created this colorful masterpiece and proudly declared, "God keeps His promises."

In that moment, it didn't matter whether we had seven colors or seventy. What mattered was the joy on his face, the smile on his mother's face, and the precious time they spent together.

Sometimes the most important work of restoration happens through moments that look a lot like fun. ❤️

Our cup—and our freezer—runneth over! ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to the First Baptist Family Dinner Ministry for this amazing gift of freshly prepared meals and frozen food for our families at Home of El Roi. What a blessing to see our kitchen counters covered with enough delicious food to help nourish our moms and children for weeks to come! The blessing was so abundant, we were able to share with Living Free.

In a ministry where every dollar matters, gifts like these do more than fill freezers; they provide comfort, ease burdens, create opportunities for families to gather around the table, and remind our residents that they are deeply loved by their community.

Thank you to every volunteer who planned, cooked, packaged, and delivered these meals. Your kindness is making a tangible difference in the lives of the families we serve.

🌟 Welcome to the Home of El Roi family, Kristan "Nicky" Jordan, our new Residential Support Staff member!

A devoted mother of five from Mooreville, Mississippi, Kristan brings a unique blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and unwavering faith to our ministry. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist with the Office of State Public Defender, she has spent more than four years walking alongside parents as they navigate sobriety, recovery, and CPS cases, offering hope, guidance, and encouragement from a place of genuine understanding.

Kristan's journey is one of redemption and restoration. Having overcome her own challenges, she now uses her story to help others see that healing is possible and that their past does not determine their future. Her work is rooted in compassion, strengthened by faith, and centered on the belief that God can make all things new.

At Home of El Roi, we believe restoration happens best when people are met with grace, truth, and hope. Kristan embodies those values, and we are grateful God has led her to our team.
