Yesterday we helped lead a gravel bike ride for the Hiking and Outdoor Weekend ( ) in in partnership with and .

We rode the “Owls Nest Loop” in Allegheny National Forest near Ridgway. It was a great 25-mile loop with lovely scenery and rolling terrain, perfect for a variety of riding levels. While we parked a little closer to the forest, the loop can easily be ridden from downtown Ridgway. The route is on the if you’re interested in checking it out!

Join us for a gravel ride during Keystone Hiking & Outdoor Weekend!

The , , and are partnering to host a 24-mile gravel bike ride in Allegheny National Forest near Ridgway, PA at 1 PM on Friday, October 17.

This ride is just one of many awesome outdoor activity options over the course of the weekend in .

Join us at the evening before the ride for an open house and shop tours! If you’ve never been, this is a great chance to check out this awesome solar-powered sewing workshop, where high-quality outdoor gear is manufactured right here in central PA.

Check in and get your swag and PLR merch! We’ll have some snacks and a limited supply of beer from and (BYOB is welcome too).

Congrats to on reaching her fundraising goal for the Public Lands Ride!

When asked about why she chose to fundraise for the , Katie said:

“Supporting PEC is an easy decision, both personally and professionally! I’ve worked with them for over 10 years and have seen firsthand the amazing work they do to protect Pennsylvania’s public lands. Plus, many good pals work there, and I want to support their hard work. The Public Lands Ride is my favorite ride of the year; it’s what really opened my eyes to the incredible gravel riding in our state and how much I enjoy making cycling more of an adventure in the woods and less of a race to the finish.”

Join us at on Thursday, August 7 from 5-7 PM to celebrate the launch of the Happy Valley ! The was a collaborative partner in the development of the guide alongside and .

The short route is featured, as well as a version of the mid-distance route that starts and ends in Philipsburg. The guide features a variety of routes ranging from 14-100+ miles through Rothrock, Moshannon, Bald Eagle, and Sproul State Forests, as well as a 250-miles bikepacking loop that ties together all the highlights.

Introducing Public Lands Roast from !

Public Lands Roast is a seasonal blend of female producer owned direct trade coffees from Colombia and Uganda, all washed processed. In the cup you’ll find a medium bodied coffee with smooth notes of toffee and milk chocolate. We are proud to partner with our friends Carolina Posada (Mina Rica, Colombia) and Nico Herr (Mountain Harvest, Uganda) to source these coffees. All coffee is packaged as whole bean.

Public Lands Roast is the September 2025 edition of Alabaster Coffee’s Community Tap Program, partnering with the . A grassroots community movement, Community Tap donates back $1 from every bag of beans or brewed coffee sold to partner NPO’s, along with any matching sponsorships. Since 2020 over $150,000 has been generated for local non-profit organizations through Alabaster Coffee’s Community Tap.

Bags of coffee are available to pre-order on BikeReg with your ride registration, or for purchase at the event.
