This Friday, the public is invited to the opening reception of Delivered, a collaborative exhibition.

The Elk County Council on the Arts will present Delivered, a collaborative exhibition of artwork created during Julie Mader’s 2026 Arts in Education residencies, celebrating the creativity of regional senior participants and honoring Mader’s work as a teaching artist.

The exhibition highlights artwork made by participants at Ridgway Senior Junction in Ridgway, Bradford Ecumenical Home and Chapel Ridge in Bradford, and Guy and Mary Felt Manor in Emporium. The residencies were led by Mader through the Arts in Education program, a former grant program of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts in partnership with ECCOTA that has brought professional teaching artists into schools, senior centers, care facilities, and community spaces for years.

Delivered will be on display at the ECCOTA Gallery, 237 Main Street in Ridgway, from August 28 through September 26, 2026. The public is invited to an exhibition opening on Friday, August 28, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Mural in progress at the Ridgway Mills Campsites!
Everyone is welcome to lend a hand in creating this mural, to be placed on the corner of Vine and Main Street in Ridgway.
Follow PA Made for all the updates as teaching artist Mickayla Poland makes progress on this project we've sponsored with the Ridgway Rotary.

Day 5 🖐️at the Ridgway Rotary mural at the Ridgway Mills Campground. Anyone is welcome to come lend a hand and put your mark on a new landmark. Here today through Friday 10-4.

Make your mark on Ridgway's newest mural project!
When complete, these panels will be installed on the corner of Main and Vine, where the Ridgway Rotary and other partners have begun an improvement project to create a vibrant gathering space.

Ridgway mural has officially started! 🎉
This project is made possible by the Pennsylvania Council on the arts, Elk County Council on the Arts, and in partnership with the Ridgway Rotary. It's an 8x20ft panel mural 'stamped' with historic buildings and landmarks from Ridgway.

Don‘t Cut What Works. That's not a feeling. That's a 2025 National Endowment for the Arts research finding. 📊

Schools with arts education see fewer disciplinary infractions. They also see improved attendance. The connection between arts programming and school climate is documented, replicated, and consistent.

Yet arts education is perpetually first on the chopping block when budgets tighten — and this year, so is the agency that produced this very research. The President‘s FY27 budget calls for the closure of the NEA, and the House Appropriations Committee has called for a 35 percent cut in NEA funding for FY27. Meanwhile, that same budget would cut federal education investment from $6 billion to $2 billion by consolidating 17 programs into a single grant.

Five specific funding streams support arts education in schools nationwide — and all five are at risk.

📸 Wednesday, 5 - 8PM Art After Hours, join us for Tinfoil Paintings. Use tinfoil and inks to create fun, textured paintings. All ages. FREE.

🎶🎸🎤 This weekend - find ECCOTA at Rock Valley Revival!
We will be set up and featuring items from local artists, and ICE DYEING on Saturday! Get a free t-shirt or bandana to ice-dye during the event (while supplies last), buy a silk or rayon scarf from our stash, or bring your own garment. $5 per person, to support ECCOTA programming.
