Before the music starts, there are hours of work.

Layers of make-up and last minute fixes to handmade outfits. Rehearsals and choreography. Helping hands, talking smack, nerves, and years spent honing a craft.

What we see onstage is the finished few minutes of something bigger. Drag is an art. One of our favorite parts of getting to see behind the curtain is getting to know the people behind the performance. Funny, generous, kind, wildly talented humans who put so much of themselves into those few minutes onstage and remind us it’s okay to be ourselves and live a little.

Here’s a small glimpse at what it takes to be a queen or king.

Still glowing from the joy, color, and community. Y'all really showed up. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate, dance, connect, and make the day unforgettable.
