CCEF We're a nonprofit investment fund filling finance gaps in clean energy & pollution-reduction projects

Collective Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) is a mission-based impact investment fund that aims to mitigate climate change, advance environmental and economic justice, and create healthier and more resilient communities by expanding access to capital to underserved projects and communities. CCEF was born out of a three-year collaboration among the Colorado Energy Office (CEO), the Department of Energy (DO

E) and the Coalition for Green Capital (CGC). This collaboration aligned to create CCEF with a shared belief that a specialized, nonprofit intermediary was necessary to identify barriers to financing clean energy projects, bridge the gap between clean energy projects and traditional capital providers, and to drive demand for these solutions by performing market engagement and development activities.

Here comes the sun!☀️ Colorado just signed HB26-1007 into law, officially authorizing "plug-in" or balcony solar panels!

This removes barriers for renters who can't install traditional rooftop systems. It’s a major step toward making our 300 days of sunshine accessible to all Coloradans.

But before you add those solar panels to your cart: this law takes effect at the start of 2027 and you'll want to learn more about which panels meet the encouraged safety standards: https://zurl.co/CtslU

Rural families often face energy burdens 40% higher than their urban neighbors.

EESI’s project history shows how On-Bill Repayment (OBR) programs are fixing that. By removing upfront costs for weatherization and heat pumps, OBR is making "living better" affordable for everyone, regardless of zip code.

"If everyone switches to EVs and heat pumps, will the grid collapse?"
It’s a good question, and the data tells a much more optimistic story. In their latest "Circuit Breakers" research, Rewiring America dives into the myths surrounding grid capacity. The reality? Our grid is more than capable of evolving alongside our energy needs.

The Key Takeaways:
➡️ Efficiency is Key: Electric appliances like heat pumps are so much more efficient than their fossil-fuel counterparts that they actually reduce total energy waste.
➡️ Smart Integration: Managed charging and "smart" home tech allow us to shift demand to off-peak hours, making the grid more resilient, not less.
➡️ The Gradual Shift: We aren't flipping a switch overnight; we are building a more robust, modern infrastructure one home at a time.

Knowledge is the best tool for a successful transition. Read the full breakdown here: 👉 https://zurl.co/tdNUI

The Town of Hayden is moving full steam ahead with its geothermal transition.
By repurposing infrastructure near the Hayden Station coal plant, the community is proving that the path to a clean energy future can be built right on the foundations of our energy past.

Kit Carson County is seeing a surge in renewable energy development. With eight wind farms generating about 2.9 terawatt-hours of electricity each year, the county is producing roughly the same amount of power as Boulder County. Momentum is building beyond wind, with solar and battery storage projects progressing through the permitting process as well.

This growth supports Colorado’s policy focus on renewable energy, with state law requiring utilities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80% below 2005 levels by 2030. For local communities, the shift is creating new revenue opportunities for landowners while also sparking important conversations around land use and long-term development.
