Dr. Anne Catherine Robinson (Videtti), 66, passed away on January 26th, 2026 with her loving family by her side.
!! RHS Alumna
The loss and the words cannot be described in such a small space
May God keep the family close in a warm embrace
Daughter of the late Nicholas and Linda Videtti, Anne was born in Padova, Italy. She celebrated her 2nd birthday with her family on a ship returning to the United States. She spent happy years in Bayonne, NJ, surrounded by extended family, before moving to Ridgewood, NJ, where she spent most of her childhood.
She attended Willard Elementary School, George Washington Middle School, Ridgewood High School, and Wesleyan University. It is at Wesleyan University where she met Dennis, the love of her life. They were married the summer after her senior year, and 45 years later, their marriage was a testament to the saying “when you know, you know.”
Anne received her MD from Baylor College of Medicine, as one of only a few women in her class. She studied under renowned physicians, including the pioneering cardiovascular surgeon, Dr. Michael DeBakey, and she stood out for her incredible strength, intelligence, compassion, and drive. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Dallas Children’s Hospital.
Anne and Dennis returned to Ridgewood, NJ, where they raised their three children. Family was the center of Anne’s life, and she felt blessed that her children could grow up alongside their aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents, gathering every Sunday at her childhood home in Ridgewood. Not only did Anne have strong family ties in Ridgewood and the surrounding area, but she also built a wonderful community of friends and colleagues, from her sideline days cheering on the Maroons to her most recent endeavor to preserve Ridgewood history with the RHS Arrow.
Anne spent her life nurturing, teaching, caring, and advocating for children and families, first as a physician at Valley Pediatrics, and later as a volunteer pediatrician with NOVA Hope for Haiti, the Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative, and Raphael’s Life House, a branch of Covenant House where 18-21 year old pregnant women and mothers can seek food, shelter, safety, and education. She believed that one of her most important jobs as a pediatrician was to empower and encourage children’s parents, reminding them that they are their children’s first teachers and most important champions.
Over the last 15+ years, Anne was a tireless advocate for student health and wellbeing in the Ridgewood Public Schools and across the state of New Jersey. She was a member of the NJ American Academy of Pediatrics Task Force on Adolescent Sleep & School Start Time and Vice Chair of the Health Advisory Board at WholeHealthED. Her leadership and the “Smart Balance” team led Ridgewood, along with other districts across New Jersey, to enact policy changes, including later school start times, that put the health and wellbeing of students first.
Anne was a force. She lived with joy and gratitude, treating each day as a celebration of life. She brought profound love and endless energy to everything she did, and especially to her role as Mom and beloved “Nonni” to her grandchildren. She was who you wanted by your side in the happy times and in your corner in the hard ones. To know her was to love her.
Anne is survived by her husband Dennis, her children Emily (Jason), Michael (Lia), and Catherine, as well as her cherished grandchildren Theo, Henry, and Denny.
A mass will be held at Mount Carmel Church on Monday, February 2nd at 10:00 AM followed by a celebration of her life at Park West Tavern from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
